CVES aims to help the local community and animals that become lost. While our main priority is assisting injured animals and people experiencing emergencies, our team still recognises the importance of reuniting pets with their families. Depending on our workload and level of critical patients, we will try our best to assist Good Samaritans and pet parents contacting the clinic regarding animals that have been found on the streets (e.g. stray animals).
Our team is able to facilitate scanning of the microchip and complete a search of national databases we have access to. However, we might be limited in having capacity of accepting stray animals for long-term stay in the clinic due to limited space. If you have lost or found an animal, we highly encourage you to contact Canberra Lost Pets Database, a Facebook volunteer run group that helps families reunite with their lost pets. You are always welcome to call us on 6225 7257 during opening hours or email us on [email protected] with any further questions or enquiries.
