Wildlife Care - Canberra

Canberra’s beautifully integrated nature reserves means that we are very fortunate to share our home with many of our native wildlife species. Possums, kangaroos, wombats, snakes, fruit bats and many species of birds live in close proximity to our suburbs and need our help as sharing this space often means that many are injured by cars or domestic animals.

If you see an injured animal, please take them to your closest veterinarian for assessment and treatment. At Canberra Veterinary Emergency Service, we are particularly passionate about our beautiful native fauna and these special patients are given high priority. All patients will be assessed and given treatment free of charge immediately before being transferred to a member of ACT Wildlife carers for further nursing and rehabilitation. So please stop for our wildlife and help protect these special members of our society.
