Canberra Veterinary Emergency Services (CVES)

Canberra Veterinary Emergency Service is an after-hours service operating weeknights from 6pm to 8am and 24 hours on weekends and public holidays. Our practice is a purpose-built facility that offers state of the art equipment, with a full team of vet professionals that will mentors and support you in any emergency environment. You will work with a great team of professionals and friends! We are a hidden gem, with an abundant number of things to do all within minutes from your home. From hiking, to camping or mountain bike riding OR skiing and surfing and a day at the beach – This is the place for YOU! CVES have a fantastic opportunity for permanent part time and full time Veterinarians to join our growing team. Come and visit us.

We are seeking dynamic and passionate Veterinarians for our CVES Practice in Gungahlin. We have options and flexibility of rosters offering a great work life balance and harmony.

The ideal applicant will be motivated, committed to patient care, and share a vision for a collaborative working environment, where referring veterinarians and pet owners receive personal gold standard service. We are looking for extraordinary people to join the team who are interested in learning and growing in their roles and believe in providing clients and their fur babies with the best solutions, delivered with love and empathy.

The right candidate will be part of a high performing team and will be expected to have:

  • Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) (or equivalent)
  • A flexible and adaptable approach, with a commitment to gold standards of care
  • Passion for pets (naturally), with excellent animal handling skills
  • Registration or eligibility for veterinary registration in Australia
  • Exceptional organisational, communication and customer service skills
  • Interest in and commitment to working in a team environment
