At Canberra Veterinary Emergency Services, we aim to provide high quality emergency care to our patients, and where possible, upskill new veterinary students and veterinary nurses / technicians.

At Canberra Veterinary Emergency Services, we aim to provide high quality emergency care to our
patients, and where possible, upskill new veterinary students and veterinary nurses / technicians. Thank
you for your interest in applying for work experience at CVES. Due to the large number of students
requesting placement, we ask everyone to complete the following application to help us get to know
you.
From here, we select students who suit our high-paced, busy workplace centered around emergency
and critical care. The following items must be submitted with your application:
- Cover Letter and Resume
- Following Questionnaire
- Any paperwork from your institution
Once your application has been submitted, a member of the CVES team will be in contact with you to
arrange an online interview. We will discuss your clinical experience and expectations and also explain
our workplace requirements. We aim to make your experience with us as safe as possible, however,
animals can be unpredictable and dangerous, especially when nervous and injured. We expect all
prospective students will be honest with their applications to help us tailor your work experience
program to you.
